Aromatherapy Massage is a holistic therapy treating the mind, body and spirit.  It is a wonderful way of therapeutically helping the body in eliminating toxins, energising and healing.

It is best to drink plenty of water or herbal tea after having massage to aid in the elimination of toxins.  It is also best to avoid caffeinated drinks and alcohol for up to 12 hours after treatment.  Occasionally one can experience nausea and/or headaches after treatment. This is part of the detoxifying process and will pass. Drinking plenty of water and resting will help.  Avoid doing any strenuous exercise for 12 hours.

It is recommended to avoid showering or bathing for up to 12 hours after treatment as this will allow your body to absorb the essential oils to the maximum.

Occasionally, one can experience discomfort after a treatment and may even feel tender the next day.  This is normal and should wear off after 24 hours.

Aromatherapy can be used relatively easily at home and be very effective.  One can easily pop a few drops of a blend in a bath or in an oil burner.  I would be happy to advise on this.
